Jill Biden, the first lady, Tests Positive for COVID

Two weeks after her husband Joe Biden got the virus for a second time, the US First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for Covid-19 and manifested minor symptoms, according to a statement from the White House on Tuesday.
The president’s wife, 71, tested negative on Monday but began to experience “cold-like symptoms late in the evening,” according to a statement from Elizabeth Alexander, her communications director.

A more thorough PCR test was positive, according to Alexander, but a later fast antigen test came back negative.

The first lady will isolate for at least five days while taking a round of the oral antiviral medication Paxlovid.

Alexander stated that she “is double-vaccinated, thrice boosted, and only exhibiting mild symptoms.”

Jill Biden tested positive while on vacation in South Carolina, where she is living at a private home. After two successive negative tests, she will return to the White House, according to her staffer.

The 80-year-old president Biden recently made a full recovery from two different cases of the coronavirus.

He tested positive for the first time on July 21 and kept working while relocating to the White House.

He received another positive test result on July 30 after four days of negative results, and he once more went into isolation.
