Despite the difficult terrain, North East India has still been able to retain its eminence. The Northeast region, with its people and land—which the center has, to this day, viewed from a marginal aspect because of its geographical backwardness. Furthermore, due to their physical characteristics, the people of this area are frequently stereotyped. These troubling issues give rise to a number of challenges, including whether writing that addresses issues of marginalized people and land should be viewed and accepted as marginal literature in the Indian setting.
