As the country's third prime minister this year, Rishi Sunak wrote history by becoming the first person of Indian descent to hold the position. From all across the world, people have been sending Mr. Sunak their best wishes. Dairy company Amul created one such message of congratulations to wish the incoming British Prime Minister success.
Amul posted the picture on Instagram. In London, Mr. Sunak was spotted with the corporate mascot. In the illustration, the word "Rishi Sunuk. Prime Makhan" is written in blue, with parts of the characters highlighted in red to resemble "UK PM."
"#Amul Topical: Welcoming Britain's first PM of Indian descent!" reads the post's caption. The Instagram photo has amassed over 5,000 likes despite having just been shared five hours earlier.
The inventive messaging pleased a lot of users. Excellent!, a user said. Amul's jaw is closed! (No words for Amul). A second person said, "Amazing!" Others commented on the post with clapping and laughing emojis.
Many kind welcome letters have been arriving for Mr. Sunak from all across the world. Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on Twitter, "I'm looking forward to working closely with you as UK PM as we address world concerns. As we adapt our links from the past into a contemporary collaboration, we send special Diwali greetings to the UK's "living bridge" of Indians."
