KCR's Party Leader K Kavitha claims that the BJP is upsetting communal harmony

Telangana’s Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), K. Kavitha, criticized the BJP today, accusing it of “seeking to break communal peace and split the society.” Speaking during the annual Bathukamma saree distribution program by the Telangana Government at Kammarpalli Balkonda was Ms. Kavitha, the daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. Ms. Kavitha compared the BJP leadership at the federal level to the chief minister of Telangana, asserting that Mr. Rao had generated more than a million employees for the state’s young. She inquired what the BJP had accomplished for the country.

She further said that BJP should look at the leadership of the Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader, who respected and celebrated all religions in the state. She praised the state government for its pro-people and welfare-oriented programs.
Ms. Kavitha questioned the BJP, the ruling party at the Centre, over massive price rise and unemployment in the country. She further said that BJP had failed to fulfill the people’s aspirations and asked TRS MP Aravind to tell the people how many jobs the Union government had created as opposed to their tall claims.

After distributing sarees as presents as part of the Bathukamma initiative, which the state government started to support the state’s weaving community, the former member of parliament from Nizamabad spoke to a sizable group of ladies at Kammarpalli Balkonda.

MLC Kavitha compared Telangana to BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh and said: “Only 70 lakh of the 23 million residents of Uttar Pradesh receive pensions. In contrast, the state government of Telangana, which has a population of four crores, has given out about 48 lakh pensions, ranging from Rs. 2,016 to Rs. 3016.”
