Eknath Shinde Declares Cabinet Portfolios

According to the CMO, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has chosen to reassign the portfolios of the absent ministers in order to prevent any interference with the state government’s ability to function, particularly now that monsoon season has started.

Shankarrao Gadakh, a Sena supporter, was given the portfolios of the industries minister Subhash Desai, the higher and technical education portfolio held by Uday Samant, the environment portfolio held by Aaditya Thackeray, the water supply and sanitation portfolio held by Gulabrao Patil, the transport portfolio held by Anil Parab, the agriculture department held by Dada Bhuse, and the employment guarantee scheme held by Sandipan Bhumare.

Shambhuraj Desai, Rajendra Patil, Abdul Sattar, and Om Prakash Kadu have been given new ministerial responsibilities in addition to those of four state ministers.

Deepak Kesarkar, a Shiv Sena rebel from the Eknath Shinde camp, has been appointed as the new minister of school education, and Abdul Sattar has been given the responsibility for agriculture.

41 days after being sworn in, Mr. Shinde’s cabinet expansion was finalised, ousting Uddhav Thackeray. The new minister for higher and technical education is Chandrakant Patil, a former state BJP president who will also oversee legislative issues

After Mr. Shinde, a prominent member of Mr. Thackeray’s party, the Shiv Sena, collaborated with the BJP to spark a massive uprising, Mr. Thackeray was compelled to step down from his position as Chief Minister. The BJP gave Eknath Shinde the position of Chief Minister of Maharashtra as compensation.

Sudhir Mungantiwar, a BJP minister, has been appointed the Forest Minister, a position he previously held.
