The Purosangue, Ferrari's first SUV, will be available this fall.

According to Autocar, four years after introducing its first SUV at its Capital Markets Day, the Italian brand used the event to announce that the next model will make its official appearance in September.

The news isn’t completely unexpected. 

Aside from previous rumours, Ferrari just posted a video on social media previewing a new V-12 powered vehicle. Nonetheless, it’s comforting to know that, while being a dramatic departure for the brand, the Purosangue will strive to live up to its sports car heritage. To find out how powerful the engine really is, we’ll have to wait until September.

It remains to be seen whether the Purosangue is a success, but Ferrari insists that it will always be a sports car manufacturer first and foremost.

We’ve tested several options,” Vigna told reporters at the event. “It was clear that the V-12, for the performance and driving experience it could provide, was the right option for the market.

You can’t design a new automobile these days without thinking about making it electric at some point. As a result, according to CAR, Ferrari is already considering EV models for the 2024–2026 timeframe — maybe in different sizes and shapes. These will almost surely be the first all-electric Ferraris, but they won’t be the last.

Even if it has divided minds among die-hard admirers of the brand, Ferarri Purosangue is a much-anticipated offering from the Italians. While some believe Ferrari is departing from its traditions by opting for an SUV, others see it as an exciting potential. The Purosangue, on the other hand, is a super-exclusive production addition to Ferrari’s inventory,
