Karnataka CET Revised Rankings Will Be Announced By KEA On October 1 for the KCET Result 2022

The updated KCET result for 2022 will be released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on October 1. Through the website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, candidates may view and download the KCET amended result and the merit list. A committee led by DR. B. Thimme Gowda, vice chairman of the Karnataka State Higher Education Council, would be used to review the outcome.

The High Court instructed the authorities to proceed with the CET ranking based on this calculation on September 23. For the CET rankings this year to be "normalized" with the 2021–22 batch 2nd PU students, a technical committee established by the State government has advised an average deduction of six marks in each subject from the 2nd PU marks of Covid–19 year (2020–21) students. Based on intricate computations, the committee produced two sets of solutions. In the end, it was advised that students in 2020–21 lost an average of 6 points.

According to PTI, the committee recommended "deducting an average of 6 marks from the qualifying marks of 2021 PU batch students in Physics, five from Chemistry, and seven from Mathematics, for a total loss of 6 points for 100 qualifying marks." On July 30, KEA had previously published a letter stating that this year, the second-year PU marks of students from the 2020–21 class will not be considered for CET rankings. Only CET scores were taken into account. However, the 2021–22 students were ranked using the standard 50:50 split of their admission exam scores and marks from their second PU.
