UPSC CSE Final Result 2025: Anuj Agnihotri, MBBS graduate from AIIMS Jodhpur, secures Rank 1

Rajasthan's Anuj Agnihotri secures rank 1 in the UPSC CSE 2025. He went to AIIMS Jodhpur to pursue an MBBS in 2017. It was his third attempt and he is already an officer in the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS).

Anuj Agnihotri secures UPSC CSE Rank 1

• UPSC is one of the toughest exams in the world, and lakhs of aspirants appear to not just secure a stable government job but also serve their country. The results are out, and this time, a medical doctor has managed to get the top rank.
• Dr Anuj Agnihotri from Rajasthan's Rawatbhata secured AIR- 1 in the UPSC CSE 2025. Rank 1 is something every aspirant dreams of becoming to gain exposure, but it is not easy for everyone to get. It takes hard work, consistency and a great amount of sacrifice to achieve such an achievement.
• Lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam after years of hard work, but still fail to even clear the exam, let alone get a top score. Anuj Agnihotri, who was already in the civil services, worked hard all over again to get a top rank.

• Anuj Agnihotri is a doctor who enrolled at AIIMS Jodhpur to pursue an MBBS in 2017. He is an officer in the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) and this was his third attempt. He chose Medical Science as his optional subject.
• The official scores of the candidates are yet to be released since UPSC releases the scores 10-15 days after the announcement of the results. The result was announced on March 6. 25 years old topper said he is still processing his achievement and expressed his gratitude.
• He said his mother was the inspiration behind clearing UPSC, "My mother has always been my inspiration to serve the people and bring changes in our surroundings", he said. Earlier he was not clear about his goals in life but knew he wanted to serve people, which is why he pursued medicine but later realised UPSC would allow his bring real change in the society.
• “Initially, I was not clear about my aim in life. But I was sure that I want to serve the people and make impact at the larger section of the society with my work,” he said.
• Tracing his journey, he said that he had started pursuing an MBBS degree in 2017. "…I realised that a person also needs some power to bring any change. I discussed with my parents and started preparation for the civil services. The day when I cleared my UTCS, I couldn't believe myself. I locked myself at the my room and cried for half an hours in joy," he said.
