Television actor Karan Patel has revealed he would never join Bigg Boss 19 because it's simply not his cup of tea, and participants start doing things over the top just to gain attention. Karan Patel will be seen in the new reality show "The 50", on ColorsTV and Hotstar, where he will be in the race with 49 other contestants to win the edition.
A new reality show is scheduled to air on ColorsTV and Jiohotstar, called "The 50", where 50 contestants will be kept together only to see the drama unfold. It may be too early to predict the format of the show, but so far, it seems as if the show will remind the audience of ColorsTV's two of the most popular shows, Khatron ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss. The promo has been launched, and it depicts Ajay Devgn, a palace and a logo with a lion. Seeing the concept, people could not stop comparing it to another reality show, "Rise and Fall", which is hosted by Entrepreneur Ashneer Grover.

Karan Patel is an actor who rose to popularity and became a household name with his role of Raman Bhalla in the Hindi Daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus. He also played Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. He appeared in shows like Kasturi and Kasamh Se. Karan Patel, through a social media post, announced that he is going to enter the Palace of the 50 soon with a ticket in his hand, saying, "The Lion invites you to his palace".
The 50 is not the first reality show he previously participated in Nach Baliye 3, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 (runners up), audience knows him not only as an actor but also as a great competitor and entertainer. He revealed did not received any Television show offer for six years as of 2025. Karan Patel was invited to join Bigg Boss many times, but he refused to join.
There had been media reports and speculations that said Karan Patel would be joining the show, but he revealed he rejected many times, even though he was invited. Patel says he doesn't like the environment inside the Bigg Boss house. He said contestants often exaggerate their aggressive behaviour to get footage, and such behaviour continues in reality, affecting their lifestyle.
“I believe no reality show, particularly Bigg Boss, necessarily alters careers on its own.
