Tanya Mittal subjected to intense media scrutiny
- Tanya Mittal, one of the most talked-about contestants in the Bigg Boss 19 house, had a hard time sitting through the press conference. She was not questioned but interrogated by the media on every claim she made inside the house, the house, the net worth, all the businesses, her claims on being spiritual, everything was scrutinised by the media.
- One might think Tanya Mittal would have cried again and defended herself in front of the media that did not take it easy on her, but she bravely responded to each and every question with ease, smile and facts. One reporter asked her how can she be spiritual and materialistic at the same time? In every episode, she had been talking about wealth, sarees, silver bottle, foreign travel, all the facilities she gets in her house and at the same time, go to temples and chant gods' name.
- She responded, she is not a spiritual leader, but spirituality is a part of her life; she has not asked anybody to follow her or claimed to be a spiritual leader herself. She will never get rid of her diamond jewellery to visit a temple that’s not her persona, she grew up around wealth, dresses and materialistic things, and she loves them. She will go to Dubai to have Baklava and also visit the temple because that’s who Tanya Mittal is.
- Another reporter said Tanya Mittal weeps at any given moment, are those crocodile’s tears or natural, she replied nobody in the world can cry morning and night, it can only happen when its a part of someone’s character, she grew up in a family where she could not reply back to people and she felt frustrated, so tears became medium to release anger.
- At the end, she was asked about the wealth and businesses she had been bragging about since the beginning of the season. One of the reporters said nobody really seemed to find the palace or trace of the businesses, and people are actually so invested in knowing that they are conducting research, by any chance did she lie? Mittal had a witty reply to the question. She said, “When I am out of the house, I’ll indeed show my house; you only know what I allow you to know about me."
