BLACKPINK's Rose is gearing up to perform for the first time at the Grammys, and she is set to become the first ever K-Pop Soloist to do so. Previously, the boy band BTS had also performed at the Grammys several times.
68th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, 1 February 2026 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. As per confirmed sources, Rose will likely perform her hit with Bruno Mars, “APT.” which garnered billions of views and became one of the most popular songs.
Rose is also nominated in major Grammy categories for her song “APT.” for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. It is a huge achievement for a K-pop artist to not only perform but also get nominated in important categories.
Rose expressed excitement and gratitude towards the opportunity and said she cannot believe this and it means a lot to her. She also said it is a celebration for everyone who believes in themselves.
“I’m getting chills right now. I think it’ll be a moment that proves to myself so many things that I grew up doubting. I think if this happens, then it’s going to mean more to so many more people than myself. It’ll just prove a lot in me as well. It’ll just be a moment of celebration for everyone who believes.” Rose said.
Previously she spoke about what she thought about her song getting nominated at the prestigious Grammys, “That means a lot to me. I don’t think I ever saw on television somebody that looks like me. Never in a million years would I have thought that this would happen to be nominated for a Grammy. Most importantly, the song that is being nominated for the Grammy contains so much of my culture in it. That proves so much to myself.
Yes, it might sound like a silly drinking game, but I feel like that could be a song that brings so many people joy… It means so much to my younger self who grew up feeling like that would not be a possibility… I’m really, really grateful and a little shook. This Grammy nomination, it feels like, ‘Oh my gosh! I never thought that would be possible!’ Like, yes, BLACKPINK … and we’re getting so much love … but that I didn’t think would be a possibility… It’s like the second chapter of my life, like, ‘Oh my gosh!'
