Farhan Akhtar starred 120 Bahadur, declared tax-free in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced 120 Bahadur tax-free in the state, as a mark of respect for the Charlie Company of the 13 Kumaon Regiment and Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. 28th Nov onwards, the movie has been made tax-free in Delhi.

  • Farhan Akhtar starred 120 Bahadur has been declared tax-free in Delhi, as a tribute to the courageous Charlie Company of the 13 Kumaon Regiment and Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Thursday that the movie will be showcased in the theatres without any tax. She posted on X, “As a special mark of respect to the valiant soldiers, the Delhi Government has decided to grant tax-free status to the film in Delhi from 28th Nov.” 
  • CM Rekha Gupta wrote, “#120Bahadur,  a historical war film, pays tribute to the extraordinary courage, leadership, and sacrifice of the 120 soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought valiantly in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. The film highlights the inspiring leadership of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, whose actions and sacrifice remain a defining symbol of courage in India’s military history.” 
  • As a tribute, the movie has been made tax-free: “As a special mark of respect to the valiant soldiers, the Delhi Government has decided to grant tax-free status to the film in Delhi from 28th Nov.” and further congratulated the makers of the film. 
  • 120 Bahadur is a war film directed by Razneesh Ghair and produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studio. It stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead role of Major Shaitan Singh, Raashii Khanna, Shagun Kanwar, Vivan Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach. It was released on 21 November 2025 and made with a budget of ₹80-₹90 crore. The movie managed to collect ₹15 crore in the first week. 
  • 120 Bahadur is based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, when 120 Indian Soldiers warded off 5000 Chinese soldiers, preventing the occupation of the Ladakh region of India. It shows the leadership of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the valour of Indian soldiers, and the selfless sacrifices that have kept the Indian borders safe.
