  • Ikkis is based on the real-life story of Lt. Arun Khetarpal, who was just 21 years old when he fought in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War (Battle of Basantar) and was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. The debutant Agastya Nanda played the role of Lt. Arun Khetarpal, and Dharmendra played the father of the lead.
  • Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikandar Kher, and Rahul Dev are in the supporting roles. The film also marks the final appearance of Veteran actor Dharmendra, who left the world shortly before the release. On the first day, it collected Rs. 7.28 crore, which is a decent opening for a movie. The movie has received a good response from the viewers, but some critics find that the makers have tried to manufacture emotion.
  • RJ Divya Solgama wrote on X, “Overall, Ikkis is an emotionally enriching ode to real and reel-life heroes (Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal and our beloved Dharmendra). It is a well-made, content-driven film with powerful performances and heartfelt moments. The runtime could have been crisper, which makes it a 3.5-star film out of 5. However, being a die-hard Dharmendra fan and as a tribute to one of the finest actors of our industry, I am adding an extra star, making my final rating 4.5 out of 5.”
