Apple to create a ChatGPT-like experience
- Apple is one of the apex companies in the tech field, with billions of sales per year. Apple is to launch iPhone 17 in September of the year. In terms of artificial intelligence, Apple has not been playing big, but certain reports suggest Apple’s plans to create something even better than the current AI-driven tools we use. The tech giant announced its AI Ambition at the WWDC conference last year, but the way things look, the plan has not met its goal as of now.
- CEO Tim Cook has a strategy, and his team is leading towards the goal. He has no intention to lose this AI battle. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it is said that currently Siri, Apple's assistant has the ability to produce answers to extreme level queries just like ChatGPT. As per the sources, Apple has also partnered with Perplexity, an AI based search provider.

- The Team formed by Tim Cook, AKI is led by Robby Walker, who is a senior Director at the iPhone maker. He is the former Supervisor of Siri’s growth. Apple has made a team, Answers, knowledge and Information (AKI). The Team aims to Enhance the Search capabilities of Siri and in all apple devices. The Users will experience a whole new dimension of searching. Apart from Walker, this team includes some of the members of the Siri development team as well.
- The AKI has been posting on their career site, To let the world know of its AI-ambition “Our work fuels intuitive information experiences across some of Apple’s most iconic products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages, Lookup, and more. Join us in shaping the future of how the world connects with information!” They posted.
- The AI features of Apple were criticized for its inaccuracy and flaws when the other companies are thriving on AI features. Apple’s Competitors Samsung’s Galaxy and Pixel. The criticism will be used as fuel to create something as big as an iPhone.
- The tool is in the preliminary phase of development and the answer engine will be capable of crawling the web to extract valid updated information.
Earlier, Apple did not prefer AI and said its a limited experience, But has shifted its strategy due to popularity of Tools like chatGPT and deepmind. Apple’s Q3 revenue dip compelled it to turn to AI, as its competitors generate revenue through subscriptions and cloud services. Apple has also faced investor pressure.
