BCCI Trolled for Ignoring Shreyas Iyer

One of the best players in the modern arena, Shreyas Iyer was not added in the list of players to take part in the Asia cup to be held next month. Despite the extraordinary performance in the IPL as the captain of Punjab Kings and claiming a Runners up title, he was not given a chance to play. Cricket Enthusiasts expressed their disappointment over the shortlisting and called out the unfair treatment of Shreyas Iyer. They called Iyer a "victim of bad politics”

The Chairman said “With regards to Shreyas, I mean, you need to tell him who he can replace. No fault of his, nor is it ours. It’s just that we have to pick 15 at the moment, he’ll have to wait for his chance.”

India is the official host of the event but due to political rift between India and Pakistan a mutual agreement between BCCI and PCB led to the hosting of the event in a different country.
