Meta has introduced a new feature, its the real time translation that is available in 6 languages for android users and 19 languages for iPhone users.
Meta introduces Real time translation feature
- Meta platforms on 23 September 2025 announced that they are introducing a real time translation feature for WhatsApp, it will be in 6 Languages for Android users and 19 Languages for its iPhone. This Step aims to make this messaging platform more accessible to people from all around the world.
- WhatsApp has 3 billion users and is one of the most popular applications used for formal and informal activities. Even though the languages made available are quite less, the company aims to increase the quantity of languages.
- In a blog published by Meta they said “Message translations were designed to protect the privacy of your chats. That’s why translations occur on your device where WhatsApp cannot see them.”
- Like any other feature for instance edit and info, users can long press a message and tap “Translate” to convert the message to your preferred language. This feature works for messages and WhatsApp channels. Android users can choose for another language and their entire chat will convert to default language.
- Those six languages are English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic. This step will enable users to connect with more people.
