USA Issues notice of 50% Tariff on India
- President Donald Trump of the United States imposed 50% on India for purchasing Russian Oil. It is a step towards escalating the Russia-Ukraine War according to Him. The Tariffs are to hit India From 27 August at 12:01 AM (EST).
- The Department of Homeland Security issued the Notice citing it has internal Security Threats from Russia, “threats to the United States by the Government of the Russian Federation”. Since India is a close ally of Russia and imports Russian Oil and Defence Equipments, It has been accused Carrying out the war Indirectly, when USA Buys Uranium and Other Materials from Russia Itself.
- “The duties set out in the Annex to this document are effective with respect to products of India that are entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 am Eastern Daylight Time on August 27, 2025." The Issued Notice Read.

- US has Continuously Altered its reason of imposing one of highest Tariffs on India, Earlier it said the reason was the Restrictions of selling into the Indian Markets, He asked Apple CEO Tim Cook to not Build in India which he had planned as India is one of the largest countries purchasing apple products.
- Another Reason why it has been understood by the speeches of Narendra Modi is Donald Trump's plan of selling American dairy products into India. The Farming Sector already employs more workers than it is actually required and Many Indian Farmers Face Difficulties in producing and selling. If American Products enters into the sector it would lead to havoc.
