Prahlad Modi, the brother of PM Modi, organises a protest in Delhi alongside fair-priced retailers.

The vice president of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers' Federation and brother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Prahlad Modi held a dharna in New Delhi on Tuesday with a number of demands for the group.

Prahlad assembled at Jantar Mantar with a number of other members of the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers' Federation (AIFPSDF), waving banners and shouting slogans.

He added that the AIFPSDF's next course of action will be determined at their national executive meeting on Wednesday. On Wednesday, they also intend to meet with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, according to AIFPSDF national general secretary Biswambhar Basu, who spoke to PTI.

In addition to compensation for losses on rice, wheat, and sugar, the AIFPSDF has been calling for the supply of edible oil and legumes through fair pricing stores.Additionally, it has urged that the free distribution system known as the "West Bengal Ration Model" be applied nationwide.

Additionally, the lawmakers argued that all overdue margins for all states, including Jammu and Kashmir, should be immediately compensated.According to PTI, the organization wants permission to supply edible oil and pulses through fair pricing shops as well as reimbursement for the loss on ruined rice, wheat, and sugar. At Jantar Mantar, members of the organization displayed banners and shouted slogans.

The organization's national general secretary, Biswambhar Basu, announced that they would present a document to the prime minister outlining their nine requests.
