Cristiano Ronaldo, a Manchester United and Portugal striker, says he has no immediate intentions to retire and that reaching Euro 2024 is his goal.
Ronaldo said on Tuesday, after receiving a trophy at the Quinas de Ouro awards ceremony held by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) in Lisbon for being the all-time leading scorer for his country's national team, "My journey is not over yet. You'll have to put up with 'Cris' for a while longer."
"I would want to attend both the World Cup and the Euros.
I have a lot of motivation. My aspirations are high, "added the 37-year-old.

Ronaldo, who has made 189 appearances for Portugal and has scored 117 goals, will represent his nation in Qatar 2022 for the 10th major international competition.

With two goals against the Republic of Ireland in September 2021, the attacker broke Iranian legend Ali Daei's previous record of 109 goals scored during a career.

Despite rumors that he might leave Manchester United this summer, Ronaldo ultimately decided to stay. Despite sitting on the bench for Premier League games, he scored in the team's last Europa League game against Moldovan underdogs FC Sheriff.
