Flood Alert in Delhi: Kejriwal Convenes Meeting after Incessant Rains

In view of the situation in the city due to incessant heavy rains in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called a meeting at the Secretariat this afternoon. Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi and concerned officials will attend the meeting. The increase in the level of the Yamuna river will also be discussed in the meeting.

All Schools in Delhi Closed Today

At the same time, in view of the continuous torrential rains in Delhi-NCR and the warnings of the Meteorological Department, the Delhi government on Monday ordered the closure of MCD, government and private schools. In this regard, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that all the schools have been closed for a day keeping in view the rains since two days. The decision to open the school will be taken only after observing the weather conditions on Monday.

Yellow Alert issued Even Today

The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Monday. It will be cloudy in the morning and it may rain in the afternoon. The maximum temperature can increase to 31 and the minimum temperature can be around 24 degree Celsius. At the same time, the department has predicted light rain till July 15.
