Following their detention, Aryan Khan accused NCB of “ruining reputation,” while Shah Rukh Khan claimed they’d been branded as “criminals, monsters.”

He was accused of anything from illicit narcotics possession to links to international criminal gangs. The NCB, however, gave him a clean bill of health in May 2022, citing a lack of "adequate evidence."According to India Today, NCB deputy director-general (operations) Sanjay Singh, who led the SIT investigating the case, recalled his interactions with Aryan. He'd promised Aryan that he'd talk to him "with an open mind."

According to him, Aryan asked him a few “soul-searching queries”. He said “Sir, you have painted me as an international drug trafficker, that I finance drug trafficking — aren’t these charges absurd? They did not find any drugs on my person that day and yet they arrested me. Sir, you have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation. Why did I have to spend so many weeks in jail — did I really deserve it?”

The actor has resumed work properly after spending several months beneath the radar. He'll appear in three films next year: Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, all of which were announced in quick succession during the last few weeks. Suhana Khan will make her acting debut in the upcoming Netflix feature The Archies, and Aryan is reportedly penning scripts for streaming platforms.

In October of last year, Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with an alleged drug raid onboard a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
