India Reports 2,529 New COVID Cases in a Day and 12 More Deaths

According to statistics released on Thursday by the Union Health Ministry, India registered 2,529 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,46,04,463. In contrast, the number of active instances fell to 32,282.
The statistics updated at 8 am showed that the death toll increased to 5,28,745 with 12 fatalities, eight of which were reconciled by Kerala.

According to the government, the national COVID-19 recovery rate climbed to 98.74%, and the active cases make up 0.07 percent of all infections.

In the past 24 hours, 1,036 cases in the active COVID-19 caseload have decreased.

According to the ministry, the weekly positivity rate was 1.38%, and the daily positivity rate was 2.07%. 4,40,43,436 persons have recovered from the illness, while the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 percent.

The government reports that the country has received 218.84 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the widespread immunization campaign.

Each fatality from West Bengal, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana was recorded in the past 24 hours.
