In the upcoming Indian premier league(IPL), the legendary Captain MS Dhoni won’t participate as a captain of team CSK.
The opening match of this year IPl is going to be CSK Vs KKR. just before the starting of the tournament Dhoni announced his decision and handed over the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja.
The news came as shock to netizens as the fans were eagerly waiting for the tournament, but were left mourning. The Chennai Super Kings supporters were in utter grief and couldn’t control their emotions. Social media was taken by storm, trending “the end of Era”. fans are saying this year IPL won’t be the same and the space for G.O.A.T couldn't be replaced.
MS Dhoni had his own Era whilst being the captain of the CSK team. CSK has won the IPL trophy four times since 2008( when the premier league has started) under his captaincy. Dhoni is known to be ‘Captain Cool’. Fans are saying ‘my captain forever’, showing their eternal love for the cricketer.
Earlier, two years Dhoni announced his retirement from national cricket. Nevertheless, stepping down from CSK captaincy won’t stop him from showing his extravagant skills in the tournament. He will be playing a vital part of the Chennai super kings.
