Pilots of Alliance Air strike over pay issues: report

According to sources close to PTI, several Alliance Air pilots went on strike on Friday over pay concerns, which led to the cancellation of some flights.
Government-owned Alliance Air flies ATR aircraft.

According to its website, Alliance Air connects 48 locations inside India with 100 departures every day. The airline was serving 62 sites before COVID.

According to the reports, several pilots have protested against pay concerns by going on strike.

One of the requests is the restoration of pilots’ wages to the pre-COVID level.

According to one of the sources, salaries were reduced by 60% in the wake of the pandemic, and they have still not fully recovered.

According to the sources, the management will shortly examine matters pertaining to pilot compensation.

A spokeswoman with Alliance Air advised that a comment will be released shortly when contacted.

There are 18 ATR 72-600 aircraft in service with the carrier.
