At a meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, today, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reviewed the situation in Sri Lanka, the developments in Myanmar, and other crucial global issues.

According to the US State Department, the US and India are staunch supporters of ASEAN's significance in the Indo-Pacific, Mr. Blinken said in his opening remarks at the summit.
"We both fervently support ASEAN centrality. We collaborate daily in various ways toward our shared goal of a free and open Indo-Pacific, "he added.
And, of course, he said there are specific pressing issues that both of us are worried about, such as the conditions in Sri Lanka, Burma, and a few other flashpoints.
So, Mr. Blinken said, "I very much anticipate discussing a lot of these concerns with my buddy once again, after which we'll proceed to our appointments.
