Sachin Pilot sits at “Shaheed Smarak Sthal” for a one-day-long hunger strike in Jaipur to express his rebellion against the corruption cases done by the previous ruling Vasundhara Raje’s led BJP government. Pilot lashes out at chief minister Ashok Gehlot for not taking action against the pending corruption cases and underscores the non-seriousness of the party for not taking any stand against corruption.

With Congress gradually losing its hold on the country, Pilot, a former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan defied the warnings given by his own party leaders that conducting any strike from his end would be marked as an anti-party activity. Gehlot’s government has denied the allegations by Mr. Pilot and is highly furious referring to the whole act as a politically motivated move with just a few months of time left for the assembly elections.

“Sachin Pilot’s day-long fast on Tuesday is against the party interests and is anti-party activity. If there is any issue with his own government, it can be discussed in the party forums instead of in the media and public,” the Congress’s Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said in a statement on Monday. Pilot was backed by AIMIM chief Asasudin Owaisi in his standing up against corruption. Ignoring the internal unrest situation, chief minister Ashok Singh Gehlot was seen in a video saying, “I have decided that I have to make Rajasthan the top state by 2030. To realise this dream, the last four budgets and this year’s ‘Bachat, Rahat and Badhat‘ budget, I have made schemes no other state has.”
