Virender Sehwag Birthday Special: 20 October

Virender Sehwag is a former Indian cricketer who represented India from 1999 to 2013. He is considered one of the most explosive opening batsmen of his time.

Sehwag, one of the greatest batsmen of his era, played his first One Day International in 1999 and joined the Indian Test team in 2001.

Virendra was born on October 20, 1978. Sehwag is the fourth child of father Krishna and mother Krishna. His coach was Amar Nath Sharma.

Sehwag started his cricket career by playing first-class cricket in the 1997–98 season. He played for Delhi cricket team in this cricket tournament. Sehwag retired from all forms of international cricket on 20 October 2015. Currently, he serves as a member of the Anti-Doping Appeal Panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Sehwag is preparing new cricketers

Virender Sehwag runs his own cricket academy. The name of this academy is – Sehwag Cricket Academy (SCA). Through this organisation, Sehwag provides different levels of coaching for different age groups – especially from 6 to 18 years of age.

Sehwag Cricket Academy (SCA) has its main center in Jhajjar. Additionally, the organization has set up 4 more centers in Delhi/NCR and other cities in India.
