The birth anniversary of freedom fighter and great revolutionary Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who played a major role in the freedom struggle, is celebrated on 23 January. This year his 126th birth anniversary is being celebrated on 23 January 2024.

The birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is celebrated as Parakram Diwas. His entire life is an example of courage and bravery. Born in an affluent Bengali family in Cuttack, Orissa, Subhash Chandra Bose passed the Intermediate examination in first division and went to England to study for the Indian Administrative Service. By securing fourth position in this examination, he had brought glory to India. However, he did not accept the slavery of the British, hence he left the Indian Administrative Service midway and came to India.

Later he joined the freedom struggle and established Azad Hind Fauj, Azad Hind Government and Bank. Along with this, support of Azad Hind Government and Bank was also obtained from 10 countries. Subhash Chandra Bose was the first to address Mahatma Gandhi as the Father of the Nation.
