For the BCCI’s annual general meeting in Mumbai, Sourav Ganguly arrives

For the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, the departing BCCI president, Roger Binny, and former IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla arrived at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai (BCCI). The BCCI AGM is approaching, and important choices must be made about the BCCI's officers, the Women's IPL, and other matters.

Earlier, Roger Binny, a part of the 1983 World Cup-winning team, was chosen to take Sourav Ganguly's position as BCCI president. According to sources inside the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BJP MLA Ashish Shelar would likely replace Arun Dhumal as Treasurer. The BCCI Secretary will continue to be Jay Shah.

All office holders from various associations around the nation submitted nominations for various seats on the board at a BCCI meeting held on October 13 at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai.

"You cannot play forever, and you cannot remain in administration forever," Ganguly said at an event earlier this month. "I was the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal for five years, and I have been president of the BCCI for years. After all these terms, you have to leave and go. As an administrator, you have to contribute a lot and make things better for the team. As a player who was around for a long time, I understood it. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an administrator.

The former India captain was approached about becoming the IPL Chairman, but he declined. Ganguly will run for president of the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB).
