Earlier the name of this railway station was Attari Railway Station but now the name of this railway station has been changed to Attari Shyam Singh Station. This railway station is located in Amritsar, Punjab, where Indian citizens have to take a visa for Pakistan.

You will be surprised to know that Indian citizens who are caught without visa at this railway station are booked under 14 Foreign Act. It also becomes very difficult for you to get bail if you are arrested under this act.

The last railway station of Punjab

Attari Shyam Singh is the smallest railway station in India. On one side of this railway station Amritsar and on the other side Lahore is present. This is the last railway station of Punjab. Samjhauta Express is India’s most VVIP train which is flagged off at Attari Railway Station. Ever since Article 370 has been removed in Kashmir, this Samjhauta Express has been stopped.
