The poison of pollution is getting dissolved in the air of Delhi. In view of the increasing level of pollution in Delhi, the Commission for Air Quality Management has issued new guidelines under which conditions have been imposed on the use of generators. According to the new rules, 800 kW generators will be allowed only if they run on both gas and diesel. This new rule will be implemented in Delhi from May 15 onwards.
Know the new guidelines
There is a huge amount of pollution caused by the use of diesel generator sets. These generators are a major reason for the rise in pollution levels in Delhi. Therefore, the Commission for Air Quality Management has given approval from May 15 onwards to use only such generators which can run on both diesel and gas.
Gas and diesel generators have been allowed in Delhi, but the restrictions that were imposed on them at the time of GRAP implementation will still be maintained in the same way. Whenever there is an increase in the amount of pollution in the capital Delhi, then there is a ban on the use of generators because it increases the pollution in Delhi a lot.
Explain that the generators that have been approved to run on diesel and gas include such engines that run on 70 percent gas and 30 percent diesel. In the new guidelines issued by the commission, it has been clearly stated that the uncontrolled use of DG sets is a matter of concern in terms of pollution. Along with this, the commission has also said that if measures are not taken to control the large number of DG generators used in addition to GRAP and the emissions coming out of them, then there will be a significant increase in the level of pollution in Delhi even after winters.
