Earth day is commemorated every year on April 22, to generate awareness among people about the impact of pollution and other activities that harm the earth's environment. The day is observed in light of taking charge of our responsibility to preserve the earth.
Earth Day was first established by senator Gaylord Nelson in the 1970s since then earth day is celebrated around the globe to raise awareness of the concerns that are harming the earth directly or indirectly.

This year's earth day theme is “ Invest in our Planet”. The theme encourages the people around the globe to come together and start taking responsibility and preventive measures to protect the biodiversity and our planet. This year Earth day lay emphasis on the concerns regarding drastic climate change and how climate change is no longer a minuscule issue.
