The Israeli military reported that the Iranian offensive involved over 300 "killer drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles," with 99 percent intercepted, assisted by forces from France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The launches originated from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen, according to Israel.
Following a series of explosive drone and missile attacks against Israel late on Saturday, Iran asserted to the United Nations that the action was a legitimate exercise of its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
"Iran's response will be stronger and more resolute should the Israeli regime commit further military aggression," the statement warned.
