In October, Maruti Suzuki’s overall sales rose 21% to 1,67,520 units

In October, sales for the automaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) increased by 21% to 1,67,520 vehicles.
According to a statement from the corporation, 1,38,335 units were sold overall in the same month last year.

In October, domestic passenger car sales increased by 26% to 1,47,072 units from 1,17,013 units in the same month last year.

Sales of the Alto and S-Presso, two vehicles in the small class, increased to 24,936 units in October 2022 from 21,831 units in October 2021.

Compact vehicle sales increased last month from 48,690 units to 73,685 units, including the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR.

The statement claims that utility vehicles, including the Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, and XL6, sold 30,971 units last month as opposed to 27,081 units during the same period the previous year.

Eeco sold 8,861 units last month compared to 10,320 units in October 2021, while Super Carry sold 2,913 units last month compared to 3,797 units over the same period.

According to MSIL, its exports in October were 20,448 units, down from 21,322 units in the same month the previous year.
