Infrastructure investments can reduce supply-side inflation, according to an RBI official

An official from the Indian central bank stated on Thursday that a focus on infrastructure development would benefit the nation in containing supply-side inflation over the long run.
Sitikantha Pattanaik, an executive director of the Reserve Bank of India, spoke at a gathering in New Delhi.

According to Ashima Goyal, a member of India's Monetary Policy Committee, inconsistent rainfall in some areas will affect agricultural production and could be bad news for inflation.
