“Not quitting yet” Prashant Kishor’s first reaction after Jan Suraaj’s poor performance

Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, has taken full responsibility after the party failed to secure even one seat in the Bihar election. He had vowed he would leave politics if JDU secured 25 votes, but after the astonishing results, he had been silent. In his first response, he revealed he does not plan to leave the political scenario.

“Not leaving politics,” says Prashant Kishor

Prashant Kishor has played a huge role in raising issues of Bihar, such as unemployment and lack of proper governance. He walked miles to connect with people to understand the demands of local people, including women and children. Social media has praised him for his way of political campaigning, which was quite unique, but all the efforts have seemingly gone to vain after Jan Suraaj’s brutal defeat in the state after it failed to secure even a single seat.

In his first response after the results, he said he takes the full responsibility for the defeat and took maun upvas (Vow of silence) for failing to change the government. He said the party worked really hard but failed to change the government. They tried a lot from their end. They are currently introspecting because they have failed. He said, “I will be on a maun upvas (vows of silence) for a day”.BJP won in 89 seats while JDU got 85 seats, Jan Suraaj did not secure even one seat, which clearly shows that Jan Suraaj failed to leave an impact, and the party had failed in their efforts. Prashant Kishor was a political strategist and was often called Chanakya, as he played a huge role in political campaigning for the BJP in Lok Sabha election 2014.
