Case filed in Karnataka after ‘Provocative’ song was played outside mosque

Kalaburagi Police is suing the organizers of a Ganesh Mandali and the DJ's owner in Karnataka for allegedly playing a controversial song in front of a mosque.
The incident allegedly occurred on September 10 during the Ganesh Visarjan procession when an inflammatory song was played in front of Mahibas Masjid, close to the Super Market Area, around two in the morning.

The Brahampaur Police Station has received a report of the incident. According to the FIR, the defendants are Saleem, a DJ owner, Ambresh Bhovi, two commoners, and Tukaram Mahendrakar. The police have also taken several other people into custody.

According to the police, the suspects have been detained under sections 295(A) and 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 31 and 103 of the Karnataka Police Act.

The situation is being looked into further.
