On October 15, two brothers, aged 13 and 8, were kidnapped from Bhiwadi in Rajasthan's Alwar district. On October 16, their third sibling was found alive and well after their captors demanded an 8 lakh rupee ransom.
The kidnappers were named as Mahaveer Teli and Manjha Khushwa by police superintendent (Bhiwadi) Shantanu Kumar Singh, who also said they were being held. The third boy, who is 7 years old, he claimed, has been transported to a children's home in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
Singh claimed that using the mobile number they used to contact for the ransom, they were able to identify the suspects on Monday night. The accused initially admitted to killing the three people and dumping their remains behind the Qutub Minar Metro Station. The two kids' bodies were discovered by a police team.
The kidnappers allegedly called Gyan Singhwer, the boys' vegetable dealer father, on Monday and demanded $8 lakh, according to Singh. The two were killed when they began to wail, and their bodies were dumped.
Singh said that Khushwa and Teli, who are both in their 30s and are from Bihar, were Singhwer's neighbours “The accused are learnt to be drug addicts. One of them runs a small shop, while the other works at a factory.”
Chandhan Chowdhary, deputy commissioner (south) of the Delhi Police, claimed that they learned of the kidnapping after their counterparts in Rajasthan had filed a case.
