Deoghar ropeway accident: Some 50 people have been rescued so far.

On Sunday at Trikut Pahar close to Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, some cable cars on the ropeway clashed with each other. There has been a rescue operation going on to rescue people who are stuck in the cable cars.

however, two people lost their lives in the accident. One man fell to death on Monday while he was seen in a video clutching and slumping to one of the rescue helicopters. He got slipped and fell to death.

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren while expressing his deepest condolences, ordered a high-level investigation into the ropeway accident.

“I express my deepest condolences on the incident on Trikut mountain and the deaths in it. There will be a high-level inquiry into the matter,” Hemant Soren tweeted.

Meanwhile, former Jharkhand CM and BJP vice-president Raghubar Das has accused the state government of being lethargic, even after such a major accident, and swore that ministers ordering from the region did not visit the site.

He said-"The government did not care about the lives of the people. The inability to make quick decisions resulted in passengers hanging in the air overnight,"

10 people have been rescued, still, there are people stuck in the cable cars. The rescue operation of the IAF and team couldn’t be carried out on Monday evening after sunset due to the ropeway running through a dense forest and the height of the trolleys suspended is up to 1500ft.
