Health Worker Woman in Chhattisgarh Allegedly Tied and Raped by Minor; 3 Arrested

A 32-year-old health worker in the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district of Chhattisgarh is accused of being raped at knifepoint by a young kid, according to authorities.
According to an official, the police have detained the 17-year-old suspect and two of his accomplices, while a third suspect in the case is still at large.

Dipak Saini, Station House Officer (SHO) Jhagrakhand, said that the event happened on Friday afternoon at a sub-health facility in Chhipchhip Village Panchayat, which is within the jurisdiction of Jhagrakhand Police Station.

He said that once the woman complained early on Saturday, the cops got to work.

He said that the kid and three of his friends barged in at the facility on the outskirts of the hamlet where the woman was alone.

According to the official, the youngster reportedly sexually assaulted the woman after they tied her up and threatened her with a knife.

Before leaving the area, they reportedly videotaped the deed as well, he claimed.

He added, in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act), the Arms Act, and the Information Technology Act case has been filed against the accused.
