Kerala Doctor’s Extremely Well-Written Prescription Becomes Popular

Only pharmacists can read the handwriting of doctors, which is notoriously difficult to read. Online, there have been several memes mocking prescriptions from physicians. However, a particularly well-kept prescription picture has recently become more popular on social media. Any patient may read it; Dr. Nitin Narayanan of Kerala authored it. The image gained notoriety after being posted on Facebook last week by Bency SD, who identified the doctor as a physician who practices at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Palakkad.

The prescription was simple to read because the doctor wrote it in block letters.

Dr. Narayanan has reportedly been employed by the CHC for the past three years, according to Mathrubhumi. He mastered the ability of good handwriting in childhood.

The source reported him as adding, "Copybook habits benefited me, and even after the conclusion of courses, I sought to keep the writing style."

At Thrissur Medical College, Dr. Narayanan earned his MBBS, and at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, he made his MD (JIPMER).

The doctor told Asianet, "My prescriptions are in block letters. Because they can be busy, the other physicians write in legible handwriting. Even when I'm busy, I make an effort to write prescriptions legibly. Patients frequently value this."

Anand Mahindra, an industrialist, posted a video earlier this month demonstrating how a doctor's handwriting changes over time.

The 15-second video clip "Doctor's Handwriting be like" displayed various educational levels. The movie demonstrated how a student's robust and well-rounded handwriting degrades when they become a specialist from class 10 to a doctor.
