On the occasion of the businessman JRD Tata's 118th birthday, Ratan Tata, the chairman of the Tata Trusts, posted a message on social media in remembrance. He remembered JRD Tata as a kind and compassionate man. On social media, he posted a photo of the industrialist and a touching message.
“I remember JRD fondly on his 118th birth anniversary as a warm-hearted and caring human being who had an enormous influence on my life. We shared many common interests, but what I really miss is his affection and kindness. Although Jeh is not with us, his legend will continue,” he said in a Twitter post.
JRD Tata was born on July 29 and is the son of noted businessman Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and Suzanne Briere. He is best known for being the founder of several industries under the Tata Group, including Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Titan Industries, Tata Salt, Voltas, and Air India.
JRD Tata was awarded the French Legion of Honor in 1983. He received two of India's highest civilian awards, the Padma Vibhushan and the Bharat Ratna, in 1955 and 1992, respectively.
