Police in Mumbai said a man was fatally stabbed by boys after a dispute over crackers

In the eastern neighborhood of Govandi on Monday, a 21-year-old man was allegedly beaten and murdered by three young boys after he prevented one of them from setting off a firework in a glass bottle in an open field.
Two boys, ages 14 and 15, have been taken into custody by the police, while the 12-year-old suspect has fled, according to an official.

According to him, the event happened in the afternoon in the Govandi neighborhood of Shivaji Nagar.

According to the official, the victim noticed the 12-year-old youngster putting a firework in a glass bottle to break it and stepped in to stop him.

After a disagreement, the victim was attacked by the other two accused. He said that the 12-year-old youngster then stabbed the man in the neck while using a sharp object to harm him.

The official stated that the injured individual was transported quickly to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
