The post “Hugging Our Parents Is A Big Deal” by a bureaucrat is popular on Diwali

An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer named Awanish Sharan frequently tweets inspirational messages. In a similar case, he published a post by the artist Nidhi Narwal on what it's like to be born into a middle-class family in India.
The video was first posted to YouTube by Kommune India. I hail from a middle-class household where used t-shirts are made into mops, and the artist is heard stating in the two minutes, eight-second footage Mr. Sharan published. Additionally, lentils are added to a Bournvita container after it has been empty.

She points out how love is shown in middle-class Indian homes quite differently. For us, hugging our parents is a big deal, Ms. Narwal added. She said, "Occasionally, they battle for us and sometimes ask us to fight for ourselves so that we can never become helpless or hopeless."
