According to Punjab’s health minister, more than 3 lakh people received treatment there

In the first two months after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab opened these clinics, more than three lakh patients received treatment there, according to health minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra. In these 100 Aam Aadmi Clinics, he claimed, more than 7,000 people take advantage of the medical services every day, particularly the out-patient department (OPD) patients who previously avoided going to government health facilities out of concern over long lines.

According to the minister, 45,570 clinical tests were performed across the state between August 15 and October 15, 2022, and 347,193 patients received care, which relieved pressure on hospitals. The minister also said that 90% of the state's patients were receiving care at these clinics.

The health minister stated that these clinics offer 41 basic lab testing services in addition to 100 medications. According to the most recent data, SAS Nagar has treated 51,000 patients and conducted 6,442 laboratory tests, while district Ludhiana came in second with the care of 41,702 patients and 4,435 clinical tests. He claimed that district SAS Nagar is leading the way among the districts in providing health services to the greatest number of patients.
