These days, the trend of following different types of diets has increased a lot. For example, if someone wants to lose weight, then they follow keto diet or vegan diet. Both these diets are considered very good for weight loss. Generally, people do not understand which of these two to follow.

Difference Between Vegan diet and Keto diet

  • What is keto diet?
    Keto diet mainly focuses on fat. Whereas protein is taken less and carbohydrates are almost negligible. Due to which the body goes into a state of ketosis. In this situation the body starts using fat for energy.
  • What is vegan diet?
    Vegan diet is mainly a plant-based diet, in which fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds etc. obtained from plants are made a part of the diet. It does not include animals or animal products like milk, curd, cheese, honey etc. in any way.
  • For Whom keto diet is better?
    Before following the keto diet, you should know what your goals are and what is your health condition. For example, if you have problems like hormonal imbalance, PCOD or sugar etc. then taking keto diet is definitely a good idea for you.
  • For whom is vegan diet better?
    Similarly, if someone has an acidic or gas problem or his uric acid level is high. If there is a lot of inflammation or hair fall problems in the body, then it would be better to take a vegan diet.

Important Thing to Remember for both keto and vegan diet:

Whenever you follow a keto or vegan diet, you need nutritional supplement support. If you do not do this, you may have to suffer loss instead of profit. Carbs are eliminated in the keto diet. When you do not include grains in your diet, it leads to Vitamin B deficiency. Due to which skin and liver function is affected.

Even the chances of having a heart attack increase significantly. Similarly, vegan diet increases the chances of deficiency of Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper etc. Therefore, if you are following any diet then definitely take nutrition supplement support. Otherwise you will start seeing side effects in your body after 20-28 days.

Which is better to consume?
Now the question arises which diet is better, vegan diet or keto diet. It is not right to call any one such diet better. Both these diets work in their own way. It completely depends on what your lifestyle routine, workout goals and health issues are. You can understand your body and follow the diet accordingly.
