10-year-old in UP district carries brother’s body after ambulance turned him down

A 10-year-old boy was seen in a viral social media video holding his two-year-old brother's body in his arms. This outraged the people.

With the body in tow, Sagar Kumar can be seen strolling closely behind his father. The deceased had been taken up from the hospital's post-mortem facility.

Circle officer of Baghpat, Devendra Kumar Sharma, said, "Locals informed us, after which a case was registered against the woman under relevant sections of the IPC and she was arrested. The body of the boy was sent to the post-mortem house at the hospital."

Kala Kumar, age 2, allegedly died on Friday after being thrown under a car by his stepmother Sita at a bank in Baghpat, on the Delhi Saharanpur route, since he was wailing nonstop. This is according to the police.

After the autopsy, the body was given to Praveen Kumar, who works as a daily wage labourer in the Shamli area. Rampal, a relative, and Sagar, Rampal's son, were travelling with Praveen. Rampal, a relative, and Sagar, Rampal's son, were travelling with Praveen.

Rampal claimed Praveen had repeatedly asked a health authority for a vehicle to transport the body. He added that they paid no attention to his appeal, though.
