Ladakhis will soon be able to go to Lhasa, according to the Dalai Lama

The 14th Dalai Lama voiced his desire for Ladakhis to be able to go to Lhasa once more while addressing a sizable crowd on the banks of the Indus River in Leh on Tuesday. The Tibetan spiritual leader said, "Times are changing, and that a time will come when Ladakhis would be able to visit Lhasa again," to tremendous acclaim from the gathering.

In light of China's efforts to impose its hegemony in Tibet through ideas like the "sinicization of Tibet," "Fortress Tibet," and the Xinjiang area, the Dalai Lama's statements are of utmost importance. The 1959 uprising that caused Tibet's beloved lord to flee and seek safety in India was observed in the Forbidden City. The Dalai Lama spoke to Tibetans in Ladakh on August 7 and reviewed the events that caused him to flee his native country and seek safety in India. The Dalai Lama expressed optimism that China's situation would improve soon.

According to the Dalai Lama, the Himalayan region's inhabitants and Tibetans both have a Buddhist cultural legacy. “Because of their steadfast courage, Chinese communists are questioning their policy with regard to Tibetans. Among scholars and scientists, there is a great deal of interest in learning from our tradition, particularly with regard to what we understand about the mind and emotions, and the means to tackle destructive emotions,” he said.  According to reports, the Jinping regime's efforts to make China a more significant player in the globe have included violent attacks against Tibetan Buddhists and alleged breaches of religious freedom. According to a report by the Tibet Rights Collective, China intends to tighten its grip over Tibet and is working to achieve this goal by "misappropriating" Buddhism.
