The Mizoram Police is listed in the UK’s World Book of Records

For the "dedication and devotion" of its officers, the Mizoram Police has received renowned Gold Edition 2022 awards from the World Book of Records, situated in the United Kingdom.

"We dedicate these awards to our family members, who remained in the background and supported us in all our endeavours. Public support and faith also makes us strong and motivated. We will continue to strive to win many such laurels in future, too," Mizoram Police said.  An organisation called the World Book of Records keeps track of and authenticates outstanding records from all over the world. Its main goal is to document, recognise, catalogue, and judge actions that might be regarded as being of international calibre.

In Madhya, where the ceremony took place, Pu Lalhuliana Fanai, deputy inspector general (CID), accepted the diplomas on behalf of the Mizoram police force.

“Finally, we have it in our hands. The dedication and devotion of our officers and staff were widely acclaimed and duly recognised,” the tweet read. 

The World Book of Records compiles and verifies notable records from every continent. Documenting, identifying, classifying, and evaluating actions that might be regarded as being of a worldwide calibre is its primary objective. Pu Lalhuliana Fanai, deputy inspector general (CID), accepted the certificates on behalf of the Mizoram police force during the ceremony in Madhya. 

The greatest cargo of smuggled exotic animals (468 species) to be taken across the border to Myanmar in a single day was intercepted by Mizoram Police, who also won recognition for their work in disposing of 930.229 kg of illegal drugs valued INR 23620940245 (International market) (i.e 25th May 2022).
