When a crisis approaches CM Hemant Soren’s doors, the Jharkhand ruling camp’s MLAs are all grins

The Jharkhand government is in the midst of a political crisis as a result of reports that the Election Commission of India has recommended that chief minister Hemant Soren be disqualified as an MLA. As a result, lawmakers from the ruling camp have now been relocated to a guest house in Khunti, which is about 32 kilometres from Ranchi, the state capital.

The lawmakers of the ruling JMM-Congress-RJD coalition could be seen smiling and waving victory signs to the camera in photos shared by the news agency ANI. According to reports, two buses filled with lawmakers from the ruling camp were travelling to a guest home that was under protection. Hemant Sorent, the chief minister and the leader of the JMM, was pictured with several of the legislators in one of the pictures.

The change occurred soon after the third round of a meeting of the ruling alliance's MPs, which was conducted at the chief minister's mansion to devise a plan of action for the new situation. According to reports, the ruling MLAs brought their belongings to the conference.

On August 25, Ramesh Bais received a letter from the ECI with its view regarding a request to disqualify the chief minister as an MLA for breaking electoral rules by giving himself a mining lease.

Nishikant Dubey, a BJP lawmaker from Godda who is well-known for his divisive comments, tweeted earlier in the day: "According to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha sources, some MLAs reached Chhattisgarh at 2 am. Most of the MLAs are reluctant to go and are waiting for the orders of senior JMM leader Basant Soren. Some buses are parked in Ranchi for MLAs."
